2024 is a mixed year for Microsoft Gaming. Gaming publication TrueAchievements “combined the knowledge and experience” of its journalists and made 5 big Xbox predictions for 2025. Here’s what they expect from Microsoft’s gaming division:
- Announcement of games from “major Xbox franchises” for Playstation. As Phil Spencer previously said, Microsoft has no “red lines” for releasing its own games on other platforms. Analysts expect the release of Forza Horizon 5 or games from the Gears and Halo series on Playstation.
- The achievement system will not change. Microsoft has been saying for years that it plans to improve the Xbox achievement system. Phil Spencer announced work in this direction at the end of 2023. But nothing has changed in 2024, and, according to expectations, nothing will change in 2025.
