Black Myth: Wukong has become one of the most successful games in 2024 in terms of sales. It has received many awards, but it can only be played on Playstation 5 and PC. Last year, there was some controversy surrounding why Black Myth: Wukong wasn’t released on Xbox. Microsoft in its statements “hinted” at some kind of deal between developers from Game Science and Playstation. The studio itself did not comment on this. The year 2025 began with one of the Game Science developers on his social networks blaming the Xbox Series S for the lack of games on Microsoft consoles. He then said that he could not disclose more information at the moment. Players are confident that if the problem was related to the technical side, Phil Spencer would not have said so confidently in his statement that he “knows” when the game will be released.
- Well-known gaming insider Jez Corden commented on the new statement from the developers. One of the players asked him if he had reported that the authors of Black Myth: Wukong had an exclusive deal with Playstation. According to Corden “all Xbox are convinced of this”.
