The full announcement of The Witcher 4 caused a great stir among players. Despite the game’s lack of even an approximate release date, many fans of the series are already making theories about what kind of story the developers plan to tell in a plot where Ciri will be the main character. CD Projekt RED themselves add fuel to the fire by providing some nuggets of information.
In an interview with Gamertag Radio, The Witcher 4 director Sebastian Kalemba promised RPG players “amazing brand new regions”. According to him, it will be possible to meet Bauk there – this is a monster that has not previously been in the series. Kalemba states that “cunning, cunning, cunning bastard”inspired by Serbian mythology. It represents “a disgusting mess of bones and hair that lives in the darkness and wants to eat you”.
CD Projekt RED previously confirmed that they want to take monster fighting in The Witcher 4 to the next level. Many players criticized the simple combat system of the last part of the series, so the battles in the first game of the next trilogy will become more elaborate and complex.
The Witcher 4 is expected to release before December 31, 2028.
