In 2022, the Microsoft Gaming team announced the release of Xbox on Samsung TVs. Since then, the lineup that supports the ability to run games from Xbox Cloud Gaming has expanded significantly, and now TVs later than 2020 from Samsung act as Xbox. Taking their “This is Xbox” concept further, the Microsoft Gaming team has announced a collaboration with LG.
Xbox support will be added to LG TVs in 2025. The announcement states that as a result of the collaboration, Microsoft plans “bring the Xbox app to new LG Smart TVs”. Specific models are not provided.
As a reminder, players can launch hundreds of Game Pass projects through the Xbox app through Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Also last year, they added the ability to play some games through a cloud gaming service from the personal library of Xbox users.
Details about LG TV models that will support Xbox are promised to be announced in the coming months.
