DOOM: The Dark Ages was announced in June last year, and since then id Software has not shown any new gameplay footage of the project. At CES 2025, NVidia’s DLSS 4 technology was demonstrated, and as part of its trailer, several new shots from the expected shooter were presented.
As part of a single video demonstrating DLSS 4, several games were combined, including DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Witcher 4. But if the footage shown of the new “Witcher” refers to the debut trailer of the game from The Game Awards, then excerpts of the gameplay of DOOM: The Dark Ages This video has not been previously published online. On them you can see several locations of the game, the main character and the work of DLSS technology.
Representatives from id Software said during the DLSS demonstration that the 4th version of NVidia technology makes it possible to take a serious step into the new era of video games. By using it, the developers significantly improved ray tracing in the game in terms of quality and performance.
