At the beginning of 2024, the game SMITE 2 was announced. The sequel to the popular MOBA game on Unreal Engine 5 has been testing for several months by players who purchased paid kits to get early access to it. There was also an opportunity to get the game for free on Xbox Series X | S and other platforms for a limited time. And next week it will be free for all players.
Developers from Hi-Rez Studios have announced that starting January 14, 2025, SMITE 2 will enter full open testing on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC. At launch, players can expect 45 characters, including 5 new ones that were not tested in 2024: Mulan, Agni, Geb, Ull and Aladdin. Note that Aladdin was absent from the first part of SMITE, meaning he is a completely new character for the series.
In addition to new characters, the SMITE 2 update on January 14, timed to coincide with the start of open testing for all players, will delight with new modes and other content.
