Microsoft has already announced a large number of games from internal studios for release in 2025. But at the moment, only one of them has a release date – Avowed, which comes out in February. All other projects announced for this year (South of Midnight, DOOM: the Dark Ages, Fable and The Outer Worlds 2) do not yet have release dates.
Well-known gaming insider Nate the Hate, during the latest episode of the podcast, spoke about when and what games to expect from Xbox during 2025. He also stated that Gears of War: E-Day is planned to be released this year.
According to an insider:
- South of Midnight will be released in April on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
- DOOM: The Dark Ages plan to release in May on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC.
- Remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion “currently scheduled for June”, the game will be multi-platform.
- Gears of War: E-Day, The Outer Worlds 2, Call of Duty 2025 And Fable will be released in the second half of 2025.
The insider also answered questions from players who were surprised that Fable is not on the list of games that will be shown on Developer_Direct. According to him, this is not related to the postponement of the project to 2026, the reason is Microsoft’s desire to show games for the first half of the year at the show.
In addition to new releases, Nate the Hate said, in 2025 Microsoft is also preparing several of its previously released projects for release on Playstation and Switch.
