When Huawei introduced its triple folding smartphone Mate XT, this was a surprise even for the giant of the industry – Samsung. The Chinese company managed to break out, despite the strict trade sanctions, and the Korean brand, judging by the rumors, is now actively working on its answer – the Galaxy G Fold smartphone, which can debut already in the third quarter of 2025.
Unlike the Mate XT, Samsung S-shaped design, I decided to bet on a more durable and practical design: both Galaxy G Fold displays will be folded inside. This approach will not only increase the durability of the device, but also protect the screen from scratches and random damage. The novelty can boast of a 9.96-inch display in an unfolded form-this is 30% more than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Despite the impressive size of the screen, the device promises to be quite compact: in folded form, its height will be 6.54 inches, which makes it convenient for everyday use. It is still unknown which processor will be installed inside, but there are rumors that it can be a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite, since Samsung is unlikely to want to take risks, limiting himself only by his Exynos chips.
Of course, with such an innovative design and characteristics, Galaxy G Fold is unlikely to be a budget device. The high price can limit its mass popularity, but in the unfolded form the smartphone will be able to replace a full -fledged tablet, which will draw attention to the device among technology lovers. In any case, it is time for Samsung to refresh the line of folding smartphones and go beyond the usual Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip.
