Capcom finally spoke in detail about the improvements to the Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5 Pro. The updated console will maintain the best frame rate, higher resolution and ray trace.
Support for Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5 Pro will include the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which will increase the resolution through scale. Although Capcom did not specify whether the game would work at a speed of 120 frames per second on the PS5 Pro, they confirmed that players can give priority or performance or trace of rays in modes that will become part of the first -day update.
Ray tracing mode will include reflection of rays trace. This mode will be limited by 4K (rendering resolution 3072 x 1728) at 30 FPS, while the performance mode will allow you to play the game in 4K (rendering resolution 1920 x 1080) at 60 FPS. Video demonstrations of each mode are available below.
The third mode called “balanced” will also be available for PS5 Pro players. This mode balances the previous two, allowing the game to work in 4K (rendering resolution 1920 x 1404) at 40 FPS.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. Open beta testing is scheduled for February 6–9 and February 13–16, 2025.
