Project Aces Studio has released a video called “The Art of Aircraft” dedicated to the development of aircraft in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. Developers have traditionally paid great attention to the detail of their aircraft, and judging by the demo, the new part of the series will have one of the most diverse car mixes in the series’ history.

The film shows the F-22A Raptor, Gripen E, MiG 21bis Fishbed, Rafale M, Typhoon, Mirage 2000-5 and other aircraft. Particular attention was paid to the cockpit: its interface and interior structure differ significantly depending on the specific vehicle.

Although using Unreal Engine 5, the team used its own technology to create the multi-layered cloud. Developers hope to use it to get a more realistic view of the sky and various weather conditions, contrasting with the details of the Earth’s surface.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Tef will be released on October 2 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
