HipHopGamer, a well-known industry insider who has been sharing information about “Grand Theft Auto 6” in recent years, claimed that the new part of the gameplay will “take it to a whole new level.” According to him, Rockstar has significantly changed the feel of the shooting, hand-to-hand combat, car theft and other familiar mechanics in the series.
A person familiar with the matter also said that he attended a Netflix gaming event and had seen some details of GTA 6. He paid special attention to the car gunplay and combat systems, and said Rockstar paid more attention to immersion and the use of AI technology.
At the same time, HipHopGamer stresses that this isn’t a complete rejection of the usual formula. Third-person shooting will still remain, but interactions with the outside world and certain everyday actions, including stealing and abandoning cars, should feel different.
More details about the project could be revealed as early as August 27: Rockstar will host an “extended screening” of Grand Theft Auto 6 on Netflix. The game is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 19th. This insider information has not been confirmed by the developer.
