The sales performance of “Crimson Desert” is impressive, with the game selling approximately 2.11 million copies in the first two quarters of fiscal 2026. Among them, there are 1.72 million digital copies and 390,000 physical copies. The main markets are North America and Europe, providing more than 75% of profits.
Pearl Abyss’s total operating income in the first two quarters was 406.2 billion won (approximately US$284.5 million). The amount also includes Black Desert Online, but Crimson Desert has been one of the main drivers of the company’s financial performance following its recent release.
The developers won’t stop there. Pearl Abyss has confirmed that DLC for Crimson Desert is already in development and is expected to be released before the end of 2026. The team is currently working on the add-on’s content and quality improvements.
Details on the composition, price and exact release date of the DLC are promised to be revealed in the third quarter of 2026, before the end of September. As the expansion rolls out, Pearl Abyss plans to adopt a pricing strategy and expand the list of supported platforms, hoping to keep interest in the game high in the long term.
