Google Pixel 11 series smartphones are equipped with advanced camera appearance features that process data directly at the sensor level to eliminate the characteristic smooth “smartphone” look of images. But the report says that not all devices will receive the feature edge.

One of the camera appearance modes is Digi, which mimics the nature of photos taken with old digital cameras. This effect is achieved by processing the signal before forming the final image. However, only owners of the Pixel 11 series of smartphones will be able to take advantage of this opportunity at launch, as the technology is tightly integrated with the hardware capabilities of the company’s latest generation devices.
Google spokesperson Alex Moriconi confirmed to The Verge that the latest camera update is only available for the Pixel 11, adding that the company “Always committed to providing new opportunities for more users”, but no specific date or plans for porting Camera Look to other models can be announced at this time.
The wording raises hopes that the feature will appear in future updates for older devices, but Google has yet to provide any guarantees that those intentions will materialize.
