Disney announced that its popular team-based shooter Marvel Rivals has reached 40 million registered users. This indicator underlines the high level of audience interest in the project in the context of competition with other representatives of the genre.
The company’s management noted that approximately 60% of gamers belong to Generation Z and Alpha. Young audiences spend a lot of time playing games to interact with friends and as an entertainment platform.
The project’s main competitor remains the classic shooter “Strike”, which has previously sold more than 50 million copies. Blizzard’s games also maintain a high level of activity thanks to major seasonal updates.
Much of the success of the superhero novelty can be attributed to the popularity of the original comic book movies. Young players are willing to choose familiar characters to engage in team battles in the virtual space.
