The developer of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord announces a modding competition with prize money exceeding €30,000

The developers of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlords decided to give modders some room for imagination and launched a competition specifically for war sails. From August 14 to November 22, authors will be able to compete for prizes worth more than 30,000 euros.

The competition is powered by Nexus Mods and ModDB and is divided into three areas. First, participants were asked to create all or part of a transformation using the functionality of War Sails. You can move the sea voyages and battles to another era or fictional world, or alter the classic Aboriginal campaign.

The second direction is dedicated to the 3D modeling of ships. Here the author will be able to build anything – from small boats and merchant ships to impressive warships. There are virtually no limitations to time, culture or fantasy. The third game will ask you to create a maritime village raid scenario, where ships land fighters on shore and the battle turns into an all-out attack on a coastal village.

After the submission deadline, community voting will take place at the end of November. The projects will then be evaluated by TaleWorlds developers and the winners will be announced in January. Once the competition is completed, some of the results will remain in the game: the ships and scenarios for the Sea Village Raid will be released as open source, available to creators of future war sail modifications.
