Battlefield Studios has launched a free trial for shooter Battlefield 6, which will run until August 25, 2026, coinciding with the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta. The developer’s move continues a long tradition of the two franchises competing directly during major releases and updates.
Along with the free-to-play game comes the Season 4 update, bringing the long-awaited collaboration with Top Gun. Beginners can now access the season’s new maps and the Carrier Strike mode with all the themed elements, and the second branded mode, Combat Assault, is already included in the shareware version of Redsec, so you can try the entire crossover for free.
At the same time, the first phase of beta testing of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” will be conducted from August 21 to 25, 2026, and will provide players with rich maps, modes, and even mature story missions.
