The market for cheap computer hardware is bracing for another wave of price increases. PC Partner Group, a large manufacturer that owns the ZOTAC, Inno3D and Manli brands, warned in its financial report that graphics card costs will rise sharply in the second half of the year. The main driver of price increases continues to be shortages of video memory and chips – the company’s unit supply has dropped 18.4% in the first half due to parts shortages, and the average retail price of off-the-shelf solutions has increased by nearly 11%. The supply crisis will hit entry-budget graphics cards hardest.

At the same time, unpleasant news also came from the display field. Monitor manufacturers KTC and AOC have informed dealers of inevitable price adjustments. Companies explain this through rising prices for matrices, cells and other components in the production chain, emphasizing that they can no longer stem cost increases at their own expense. While brands are negotiating with suppliers to minimize price increases, customers are advised not to put off upgrading as the current price tags won’t last long.
