Xbox will unveil a surprise sequel to its famous series at Gamescom

Xbox will launch an unexpected sequel to its famous series at Gamescom: from the website NEWXBOXONE.RU

Well-known gaming industry insider NateTheHate said that the Microsoft team will showcase a game at Gamescom. According to him, it will be a “cool announcement” but he did not give a specific name for the project.

When the media noticed the insider’s report, he added his own information. According to him, the development is not carried out by Microsoft Studios, but the series itself belongs to Xbox. The source also admitted that the project would be released as early as 2026, although he was not able to confirm this.

Interestingly, his words were partially corroborated by Windows Central’s Jez Corden. He’s on the comms TellI also heard that Xbox made an announcement at Gamescom:

I have rumors that Xbox will also announce one or more games at Gamescom. Microsoft usually makes full game announcements at the Xbox Showcase in June, but this year they seem to have some big announcements lined up for Gamescom as well. I’m not sure if this will be an Xbox-hosted event or an opening night live hosted by Geoff Keighley, but if what I’m hearing is true, we could be in for a pretty big surprise (possibly a very unexpected sequel) (not Banjo).

Players on social media are beginning to remember the recent rumors surrounding Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome. The series itself belongs to Xbox, while development of the first installment was carried out by the German studio. Previous rumors suggested that Crytek might release a sequel to the game and a remaster of the first part.
