A gaming laptop owner encountered a strange and unpleasant warranty repair case. After sending a device with 64 GB DDR5 RAM to the service department, he received the device with a reduced capacity of 32 GB.
In its official conclusion, the service center stated that one of the mods was allegedly incompatible with the device, so it was simply removed. This explanation caused a bit of confusion on the internet, as the manufacturer’s website stated official support for up to 128 GB of RAM, while the laptop itself was sold in its original configuration via the larger platform.
The user believed that one of the memory banks was faulty, but due to the current sky-high price of DDR5 modules (approximately 400 euros per set), the service decided to save on replacement costs. Victims are now advised to demand a full refund of their laptops or seek restoration of original features.
