The unsinkable Skull and Bones is gearing up for a major update, bringing players a wealth of content and long-awaited quality-of-life improvements.
One of the main innovations will be the appearance of a new large ship – the Jonky. The base version of the ship has a hull strength of 85,000, with unique bonuses that when fully upgraded to level 7 will increase its strength to over 104,000. Additionally, junk will gain additional furniture slots, high resistance to elemental damage, and new powerful skills.
With the arrival of a new hostile force – the Abyss Fleet, the Indian Ocean will become more dangerous. In the fourth level of the world, it is possible to encounter these opponents with armor weaknesses. Their main feature is that attacks will prevent or limit the ship’s repairs during battle, which will require the captain to make new tactical decisions.
The developers at Ubisoft also listened to the community and introduced a system for transferring modifications. Now, players will be able to freely transfer powerful mods between weapons and armor without having to tie them to one piece of gear forever. This will allow you to safely try the build without worrying about losing valuable improvements. Additionally, there will be a kit system that allows you to save up to 10 upgrade options for each ship and switch between them in the ship menu.
The seasonal skill tree has been redesigned, and the core combat mechanic will be motivation – a resource that is accumulated and used for powerful buffs through new benefits. The pirate’s arsenal will be replenished with rocket launchers and ballistae, and the half-cannon will receive a close range damage bonus.
