Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 FE smartphone soon – which will be the entry-level model in the flagship lineup. The Korean manufacturer has yet to comment on these rumors, but the device is actively getting details from unofficial sources. Another one talked about smartphone batteries.

In an expected announcement, battery data for the Galaxy S26 FE was revealed from European regulators. The European Product Energy Labeling Register (EPREL) has awarded the new smartphone a higher rating than last year’s model – and the battery will offer longer battery life.

The battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE model (codename SM-S741B) is expected to be 50 hours. In comparison, last year’s Galaxy S25 FE had a battery life of 42.5 hours under the same conditions, which is equivalent to a “B” grade, while the new phone received a higher “A” grade. It’s unclear what influenced the change. Maybe Samsung installed a new silicon-carbon battery, like in the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. Another hypothesis is a more economical Exynos 2500 processor, built using 3 nm technology, compared to last year’s 4 nm Exynos 2400.
At the same time, the number of full charging cycles (when the battery capacity drops to 80% of the original value) of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has been reduced from 2,000 to 1,200 times compared with its predecessor. However, 1,200 charge cycles should be enough for a few years of real-world use, so most device owners won’t notice the difference.
