Zenless Zone Zero’s lead artist Atwo_A2 recently announced his departure from miHoYo. Atwo_A2 was responsible for the design of many of Zenless Zone Zero’s playable characters, including anthropomorphic Tiren like Lycaon, Ellen Jo, and Hoshimi Miyabi, and sentient robots like Billy the Kid and Banyue. According to a new blog update, he is currently working on an unannounced farming simulation game.
In his announcement, Atwo_A2 briefly looked back at his journey with Zenless Zone Zero, starting six years ago (when the development team was just over 20 people) and leading up to the game’s second anniversary. Now that the game has gained momentum and become, in their words, an “incredibly impressive product,” Atwo has moved all of its work to miHoYo and is currently pouring its time and talents into the new farming simulator.
Atwo_A2 has been a long-time fan of the genre, playing Harvest Moon as a student and now keeping a close eye on new releases like Village in the Shade. The idea to create a farming simulator has been ripening in his mind for nearly 20 years. After speaking with Zenless Zone Zero producer Lee Jung-woo two years ago, Atwo_A2 received the support and advice they needed to start their business.
Atwo_A2 is currently looking for developers who are fans of farming simulators to help with the initial stages of game development.
