Let’s remember that Hearst suffered a torn bicep while filming the show in late June – they were hoping to resume production by mid-August, but recovery from this injury could be delayed until 2027.

Therefore, the artist had to find a replacement. Amazon is rumored to be in talks with 57-year-old actor and former wrestler Dave Bautista (Drax in “Guardians of the Galaxy”). It looks like they were successful.

According to Variety, Battista, who is seven years younger than Hearst, is one of the few actors in Hollywood who didn’t need extensive training for the role of Kratos.

The “God of War” series tells the story of how after the death of his wife Kratos, he and his son Atreus (played by Callum Vinson) embark on a journey to scatter her ashes from the highest mountaintop.

It was previously reported that God of War will have two seasons – the first will cover the events of God of War (2018), while the second will retell the story of God of War Ragnarok. The project is being helmed by showrunner Ronald D. Moore.
