Motorola’s new flagship smartphone will feature the brand’s proprietary Android-based user interface. However, if necessary, users will be able to switch to GrapheneOS – a modified version of Android without Google services that allows you to run regular apps and provides a higher level of security.

This opportunity arose thanks to a collaboration between GrapheneOS developers and Motorola. According to reports, GrapheneOS will be available on Motorola’s flagship devices in 2027, starting with standard smartphones without flexible screens, which may be the successor to Signature. Subsequently, new versions of foldable smartphones Razr Fold and Razr Ultra will be launched.
All these smartphones will be equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship microprocessor because according to the developers, they “Will provide significantly higher CPU and GPU performance”. Future Motorola smartphones supporting GrapheneOS will be “match or exceed” Official requirements from GrapheneOS developers, including providing updates for seven years.
