In the 2.4 update, the developers of the game “World of Tanks” will reconsider the role of light tanks and the work of the balancer. The new system should make the purpose of equipment clearer, and the battles themselves exciting and fair for tankers.
Light tanks will be divided into three categories. Scouts will specialize in detecting enemies due to their small size, mobility, and camouflage. Universal vehicles will have more flexible characteristics and be able to effectively switch between reconnaissance and damage-dealing depending on battlefield conditions.
The third category is support tanks. They will sacrifice some camouflage and efficiency in combat for greater firepower, high mobility, and the ability to quickly change position. This type of vehicle is suitable for players who like to actively deal damage and regularly help their allies in reconnaissance.
Along with the introduction of the character, the developers will also perform point balancing on multiple light tanks. To this end, adjustments will be made to the mobility, visibility, survivability and firepower of individual vehicles. At the same time, the team intends to retain the vehicle’s familiar features but place a greater emphasis on the differences between its combat roles.
