In Afterlife, you lead a group of struggling survivors Scarce resources, hostile territory and lost technology was rediscovered. Exploring the wasteland, building settlements, forming tribal alliances or clashing with cultists, warlords and mysterious ancients will be the basis for expanding your kingdom. Each game takes place in a procedural version of the North American continent, with constantly changing tribes, threats, and resources. The game promises an “easy to learn but hard to survive” experience, with an approach that starts with small-scale management and then evolves into complex strategy in true Paradox style.
The game offers multiple playable origins, from refugees in a nuclear bunker to fanatics searching for a goddess, as well as a progression system based on discoveries made during exploration: encountering a river can lead to irrigation, meeting a new tribe can lead to a religious order. this Player choices affect social structure From laws to the distribution of goods to the treatment of changed and enhanced people.
There’s no shortage of advanced logistical elements, such as convoys and supply lines, as well as cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Tensions will rise as territory expands, and a second decline of civilization is always possible, even with bad decisions.
