PC Partner, the largest contract manufacturer of graphics accelerators (which makes graphics cards for Zotac, Inno3D, Manli and Sapphire), has warned of an impending severe shortage in the graphics card market.
According to authoritative sources, the supply of Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture chips dropped significantly in the third quarter compared with the second quarter, and the situation will be more severe by the end of the year.
The most unpleasant news for PC gamers is that the crisis will hit the budget and mid-range markets hardest. These problems are caused not only by competition with data centers for silicon and memory, but also by shortages of related components – from printed circuit boards to power components, whose lead times have increased significantly. Given that models like the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and RTX 5070 are currently stable at around $800, the prospect of significant price increases for base graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD is cause for legitimate concern among gamers.
