The legendary “Heroes of Might and Magic III” is getting a 3D remake – “Heroes of Might and Magic III Remastered” first trailer and details

French publisher and developer Ubisoft during opening night live broadcast ahead of Gamescom 2026 propose A remake of the legendary 1999 turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic III.

The remake of Heroes of Might and Magic III was created from the ground up at Ubisoft’s studios in Shanghai and Chengdu using the in-house Snowdrop engine and a free camera to convert the game’s events from isometric 2D to full 3D.

They promise new cinematics, mods to support the original game (maps, campaign), eight-player multiplayer, dynamic lighting, remastered voice acting, and Russian text translations.

Heroes of Might and Magic III Remastered will be released on PC in 2027 (steamEpic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In the context of this announcement, Valve has also started selling on the digital store Complete version of the original game.
