Developers Top Hat Studios and Kyle Thompson have announced the release date for their new game, Well Dweller. The project will be released on September 22 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2 and PC. The game will also be available on Game Pass immediately upon release.
Kyle Thompson is the development lead on Well Dweller and the author of Crypt Custodian (also previously on Game Pass) and Islets. In his new game, the protagonist is a little bird named Blick, who holds an ordinary match. She must travel to a decaying kingdom and kill the cruel queen to save her family. Along the way, players will explore an interconnected world, fight monsters, solve puzzles, find secrets, and gain new abilities.
The main feature of the game is the use of race abilities. It acts as both a light source and a weapon, making it useful not only for exploring the dark corners of the world, but also for combat. Players can also collect various items and combine them to create a build that suits their play style.
