In 2021, ASUS released the ROG Spatha X wireless gaming mouse, an updated version of the original ROG Spatha that was launched in 2016 for MMO fans. The manufacturer announced the new Spatha X 65K as part of Gamescom 2026, showcasing updated versions of the 2021 models.

As you might have guessed from the name, this new product uses an advanced optical sensor with a resolution of 65,000 DPI. The company uses the same technology in its new wireless mouse, the ROG Gladius IV Ace, which was also unveiled at Gamescom 2026. In addition to high resolution, this sensor offers LOD (Lift Off Distance) settings for improved accuracy and clarity of operation.
The new Spatha X 65K gaming mouse also uses the new ASUS ROG Push-Fit Switch Socket III design and comes with a hot-swappable main button. By default, the Spatha X 65K is equipped with ROG Micro Switch II switches, which have a crisp click sound and a resource of 100 million clicks, or a silent ROG Silent micro switch, which has a claimed resource of 50 million clicks.
The Spatha X 65K model continues the tradition of the original series and is aimed at MMO fans. The mouse features 12 programmable buttons for various MMO gaming rigs, and a weight adjustment system similar to the ROG Gladius Ace IV, although Asus hasn’t specified the weight of the mouse itself.
The mouse comes with a magnetic charging base, which also serves as a receiver to operate the mouse via the 2.4 GHz radio channel. All software settings for Spatha X 65K are accessible through the ROG Gear Link browser-based utility.
The manufacturer has not disclosed the cost of the Spatha X 65K Wireless Gaming Mouse.
