The wait is almost over for the debut project of Polish development studio Rebel Wolves. The creators, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, have teamed up with publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment to generate interest among the community for the upcoming action role-playing game Blood of the Dawn Treader with the official release of the trailer. The adventure is the first chapter in the complete saga and will be released on September 3, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the fresh video material, the studio also invites visitors to Gamescom Cologne to experience the game for themselves in Hall 6.1.
A new trailer shines a spotlight on the threatening situation facing the otherwise picturesque Sangora Valley. The region has been plagued by devastating wars, epidemics, and bloody uprisings, and is completely under the iron-fisted rule of ruthless vampire rulers.
Players take on the role of young protagonist Cohen, who, through a twist of fate, transforms into the eponymous Dawn Treader – a vague figure who poses as a human during the day but transforms into a powerful vampire under the cover of darkness. In this broken world, Cohen faces the daunting task of confronting the brutal vampire lord Brunsis and his followers.
The development team emphasizes uncompromising freedom of choice: every action chosen directly changes the course of the story and the gameplay without falling into a simple black and white mode. The Carpathian Mountains backdrop provides the atmosphere for an in-depth single-player experience. Dense forests, hidden shrines and ancient ruins along the way invite you to explore freely. Players can explore the world at their own pace, discover forgotten quests, uncover mysterious secrets and recover hidden treasures.
Based on Unreal Engine 5, the studio is laying the basic starting signals for the far-reaching future: Rebel Wolves has confirmed that the subsequent episodes of the Dawn Treader Saga will bring about a completely different era and a new cultural space. The action RPG is now available to pre-order or add to your wishlist on all platforms.
