Gamescom 2026 opens in Cologne, and Samsung is one of the participating manufacturers, with one of the largest gaming-dedicated exhibition areas. From August 26 to 30, the company will showcase an ecosystem that brings together PCs, consoles, mobile gaming and the cloud. Odyssey display as main hardware element exhibition space.
The most interesting focus is on the upcoming new generation of gaming monitors Officially released on August 27. Samsung expects the Odyssey 2027 range to be made up of different models and technologies, and at Gamescom it could also try out some products already in the company’s catalog.
Samsung Odyssey, from 6K to 3D glasses-free gaming
The three most representative monitors in the current series will be on display in the Odyssey zone. The first is the Odyssey G8 G80HS, which Samsung calls The first 6K resolution gaming monitor. In addition, there is the Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH, which comes with a 4K panel and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. The group is complete with the Odyssey 3D G90XF, a monitor that can display 3D content without the use of specialized glasses.
Visitors will be able to test the monitors with video games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Crimson Desert and Cyberpunk 2077. The latter will also be used to display Support HDR10+ gaming technology. Odyssey 3D will be used alongside Cyberpunk 2077 and Cronos: New Dawn to directly evaluate the effects of three-dimensional visualization.

The area dedicated to the display is not separated from other hardware. In fact, Samsung will also be showcasing the SSD 9100 Pro and JBL Quantum 950 headsets, aiming to highlight a complete configuration for PC gaming. The second main axis of Samsung’s existence will be il mobile games. Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be unveiled alongside Galaxy Buds4 Pro and new portable SSDs. On foldable smartphones, Samsung will also launch Neural Frame Fusion, an artificial intelligence-based technology that generates pixels and frames on the fly to reduce graphics processing load and maintain high performance for longer.
To complete the exhibition there will be Samsung Game Centeraccess cloud games directly from compatible TVs and monitors, and zones created with the T1 team. Here you can try configurations similar to those used by professional players, including configurations related to League of Legends champion Faker.
Therefore, August 27th will be the most important day for the surveillance industry. The official look at the Odyssey 2027 lineup. Samsung hasn’t revealed all the details of the new models yet, but Gamescom will be the first event to show what technology will be used in the next generation of gaming monitors.
