SCUF Gaming, Corsair’s high-performance brand, is continuing to expand its hardware portfolio to meet the needs of demanding electronics athletes and enthusiasts. With the launch of the SCUF Nemesis Pro 8K series, the manufacturer introduces a new generation of PC controllers designed for minimal input lag and maximum precision in competitive gaming. At the heart of the new series is support for wired polling rates up to 8,000 Hz (8K Polling). If you play competitive first-person shooters or other fast-paced fighting and action games, the system should ensure that your inputs are transmitted to the screen almost instantly.
At the heart of the Nemesis Pro 8K series is a combination of top-notch technical features and extensive customization options. By integrating Hall Effect or TMR sensors into analog sticks, the problem of gradual stick drift is a thing of the past. The wand uses magnetic scanning, which not only ensures a long service life, but also allows you to adjust the dead zone extremely sensitively using the associated software application.
In addition, SCUF’s operating buttons, control panel and shoulder buttons all use mechanical Omron switches, which provide a mouse-like click feel and an extremely short triggering distance.
Another feature of this product line is customizable triggers. Using the physical slider on the back, you can instantly switch between the long simulated step paths of racing games and the extremely short instant triggers of shooters with the click-and-click nature of a shooter.
As is customary with the manufacturer, there are four ergonomically placed, reprogrammable paddles on the back of the case. These features are complemented by additional side buttons (SAX buttons) and configurable G-keys on the bottom, which give you a variety of additional direct commands without having to move around.
The Nemesis Pro 8K Series will be available in two different versions: a purely wired version for minimal latency in tournament environments, and a wireless version for wireless connectivity and reduced latency. Using Corsair iCUE software, button assignments, lighting effects, joystick curves and dead zones can be fully configured and saved in multiple onboard profiles on the controller.
The SCUF Nemesis Pro 8K controller is scheduled to go on sale globally in the fall, and the manufacturer plans to provide accurate information on pricing for each model variant soon.
