Bloodstained: Crimson Engagement: Sequel Release Slips into New Year

The sequel to “Bloodstained” will no longer be released as originally planned this year.

In fact, the new game in the series “Bloodstained: Crimson Engagement” should be released in 2026, but there is no specific release date yet, so there will be no results. Instead, an extension to next year has now been officially confirmed.

Director Koji Igarashi personally took over the corresponding announcement and confirmed that the new film “Bloodstained” will now only be released in 2027, with an unknown date. It’s unclear how long the postponement will ultimately last. As a reminder: the series premiere of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was released in June 2019.

Despite being delayed until 2027, ArtPlay’s game is now said to be in the final stages of development. To make up for this rather disappointing news, Igarashi promised that new gameplay will be released soon.

Compared to Ritual of the Night, the sequel will have various new features and innovations. When it comes to the protagonists, you’ll be able to control both Leo and Alex. The object of the game is to put an end to the plans of the demon lord Elias.
