Chases, shootouts, heists: Rockstar shows off 27 minutes of GTA VI gameplay and confirms November 19 release

As promised, British studio Rockstar Games (part of Take-Two Interactive) hosted an extended screening of its highly anticipated open-world crime thriller GTA VI on Netflix on August 27.

Let us remind you that the events of GTA VI will take place in “The largest and most believable world” One of the games in the series – played in Leonidas, Florida. Users will take on the roles of criminals Jason Duvall and Lucia Caminos.

The GTA VI demo lasted nearly 27 minutes and consisted almost entirely of straight-up gameplay of the base PS5 model. As of the time of this article’s publication, the stream is only officially available on Netflix, but there are unofficial options as well.

The developers showed off story missions, shootouts, robberies, evading the police, conversations with NPCs, interactions and switching between Jason and Lucia, and the ability to drink beer from the refrigerator.

At the end of the video, Rockstar confirmed that “GTA VI” will be released on November 19, 2026. Contrary to fan concerns, the studio isn’t using the extended runtime as a platform for the game to be delayed again.

The extended reveal of GTA VI comes against the backdrop of a series of gameplay leaks. Since August 18, activist/group Cyberleek has made over half an hour of gameplay available to the public. Rockstar is not happy with this situation.

GTA VI is being produced for PS5, Xbox Series X and S – with the game priced between $80 and $100. The results of the game pre-orders opened on June 25 are “Unprecedented”buyers prefer the premium version.
