Amplitude Studios is continuing with the second installment of strategy game Humankind. This was announced at Gamescom in Cologne.
Another representative of the genre within reach for strategy fans! Amplitude Studios announced the sequel “Humankind 2” at gamescom Opening Night Live. The game is expected to be released on PC in 2027, but a specific release date has not yet been received.
Like its predecessor, Humans 2 will be a turn-based historical strategy game, where each era changes your civilization and the world. From the dawn of humanity to the present day, you can build cities, research technology, make alliances or go to war with your armies.
The game mechanics continue to build on the foundations of the first part, but at the same time the previous gameplay experience should of course be optimized and further improved. Player feedback is also evaluated to implement innovations in the progression system, functionality, graphics, and user interface.
According to official information, Cultural Evolution will be fundamentally modified, which should ensure the depth of the game. In each era, you can adopt a new culture, expanding and deepening the identity of your chosen civilization. At the same time, this also involves unlocking the cultural advancement tree. Additionally, climate changes play a greater strategic role in the sequel, as they alter the map over centuries. You must adapt your city and economy to changing biomes.
