Recently, Polish studio CD Projekt Red (CDPR) announced that it is working with modders to create an official remaster of the popular open-world action role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Polish modder HalkHogan is responsible for the most popular The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project mod (downloaded over 6 million times on Nexus Mods) Confirmedhe is working with CDPR to develop “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered”.
According to Halk Hogan, almost all of Geralt and Roach’s characters, monsters, animals, vegetation, armor and equipment, as well as significant parts of the environment, were redesigned by him for future remakes.
“My title will officially launch in-game on PC and consoles on September 29th. HDRP (HD Reworked Project – approx.) will no longer be required.<...>I have put in a lot of effort to ensure the highest quality””, assured Huck Hogan.
Remastered is an updated version of The Witcher 3, featuring improved graphics, combat system and skill tree, expanded photo mode, cross-platform mod support and other innovations.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is being produced in partnership with Yigsoft Studios and will be released on PC (steam, GOG, EGS, Battle.net), PS5, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch 2 as a free update for owners of the base game.
The remaster also includes the story add-ons Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – even buyers of the base version of The Witcher 3 can access them. The third add-on, Songs of the Past, is expected to be released in 2027.
