In October 2026, Nvidia will release latest version GeForce Game Ready driver for Windows 10. Starting in November, all new versions of Game Ready drivers will no longer support Microsoft’s outdated operating systems.

The same diagram applies to the Nvidia Studio driver. Prior to this, Nvidia promised to support Windows 10 for one year after Microsoft’s official end of support date (October 14, 2025). Windows 10 computers won’t lose all Nvidia driver updates overnight. After October 2026, the company will transition supported GeForce hardware to quarterly security updates – these releases will include important security fixes and will last until October 2029.
The first regular Nvidia Game Ready driver suite without support for Windows 10 is scheduled to be released in November 2026. This means that users of systems running Windows 10 will continue to be able to use the October package, but optimization and regular driver updates will not be released for it in the future. Nvidia announced plans for 2025, so the new deadline isn’t new policy for the manufacturer. Windows 10 PC users can now only rely on security updates.
