Bethesda has launched Fallout 76’s first public test server on Xbox consoles. Members of the Xbox Insider program who own Fallout 76 (or through Game Pass) have the opportunity to test the native version of Xbox Series X | S.
On Xbox Series X | S developers have made graphics mode available in the native version of Fallout 76. Among them, the game runs at 60 FPS, while the resolution on Xbox Series X is 4K and the resolution on Xbox Series S is 1080p. To test Fallout 76 under the Insider program, copies of player characters from the current version of the project were used. Participants retain access to weapons, armor, items, and their camps, but all progress on the server does not carry over to the main version. Before each new testing cycle, Bethesda builds a new copy of the character. Additionally, the in-game store and seasonal content do not work on the test server. However, a special cabinet near Vault 76 can provide testers with the modifications, ammunition, and weapons needed to test individual features.
