A word from the creative director of Warlock
“We’re working closely with TTRPG experts and Wizards of the Coast to figure out how to bring our secret ingredient into the game,” said Warlock Creative Director Jeffrey Hattemon GamesRadar+ during Gamescom 2026.
“We’re not just passing through, right? We respect the D&D brand. Of course, we are building on the shoulders of giants. This is a game that’s over fifty years old, the result of a collaboration between storytellers, writers, and artists, and we intend to make our contribution to the world of D&D. Additionally, we are adding new spells. This is not what you normally expect. ”
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons won’t be a cRPG like Baldur’s Gate
“We are developing A game designed for players who have never played Dungeons & Dragonshe explained. “This is not a requirement to start. [La protagonista] Kaatri is a stranger in a strange land… players will be able to go on this journey with her and learn what they need to know, but if you’re a fan of D&D I hope you’ll find plenty of Easter eggs, secrets, and twists on familiar elements that you’ve come to expect. ”
