Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games have shown off a 16-minute video featuring combat scenes from the Fable reboot recorded at Gamescom 2026. The film shows battles with classic creatures and new opponents from the universe, as well as different options for developing the protagonist’s fighting style. Players will be able to freely switch between melee and ranged combat, use a variety of magical abilities and dodge enemy attacks.
The footage presented was recorded on PC at 4K resolution and using medium graphics settings.
Fable will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 23, 2027. The project will also appear on Game Pass on launch day.
