in the past few hours it seems Valve leaks approximately 12 GB Data, involving several of the company’s games, including obscure links Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and what might be Portal sequel.
The stolen files surfaced online yesterday (August 29), starting to spark discussion about elements present in the large data packets that appear to involve Game internals Published, in development, or archived by Valve.
The origin of these files is unclear, but according to well-known leaker “Gabe Follower” (who has provided various information about Valve games in the past), this will be an operation that occurred in the past few hours and involved some internal versions of the software.
The mysterious weaponizer
There are four main Valve games involved in the leak, and they all appear to be fairly well-known games, although the elements that appear may not be related to actual releases on the market or currently ongoing projects.
This issue is still evolving, but the security involved currently appears to be Portal 2, which is F-stopperhaps the codename for an alternate sequel to Portal, built from the likes of Left 4 Dead and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Mod to recreate Half-Life 2: Episode III coming in 2026
As for Half-Life 2: Chapter 3, a game named Weaponizer: This problem has appeared as early as 2011, when the Dota 2 client was leaked on the Internet, leaking a folder named “ep3”.
In 2024, Valve showed off some unreleased Half-Life 2: Episode III footage, in which we saw a weapon that seemed reminiscent of the paint gun from Portal 2, and this mysterious weaponizer also appears to have appeared in a new leak.
It’s a very vague connection, but it may indicate that there are more elements related to the expansion pack of Half-Life 2, which was supposed to act as a bridge to Half-Life 3. Meanwhile, the most explicit elements first involve Portal 2 and this mysterious F-Stop, which appears to be a replacement for the sequel to the first chapter of the series.
