This blogger has played about 1,000 hours in the MMORPG “AION 2” and calls the game a new version of “Lost Ark”

YouTube blogger Kanon, famous for his various MMORPG videos, shared My personal impressions of the MMORPG AION 2 after playing it for about 1000 hours. In his opinion, the project was reminiscent of Lost Ark in many ways, but was significantly different in its character development system and attitude towards other characters.

Canon explains his comparison through the structure of the endgame. In AION 2, just like in Lost Ark, players will regularly engage in dungeons and raids, receive materials to strengthen their characters, and then return to the same activities again. It can also be beneficial to develop additional characters in order to obtain resources from them for the protagonist. However, the YouTuber himself believes that the need to play multiple characters at the same time is not that obvious in Aion 2.

The blogger also compared the monetization of the two games. He admits that AION 2 has elements of a pay-as-you-go system, but after spending four figures in both games, he feels that AION 2’s model is less radical than Lost Ark.

Cuaron cited character development as the game’s main strength. According to him, almost every playback of content brings a small buff or brings the hero closer to the next noticeable surge of power. Characters gradually progress through traditional power levels and, over time, begin to transcend previously difficult content.

It is this system that allows bloggers to regain interest in games after experiencing a period of burnout. He believes that AION 2 focuses more on vertical progression than many other Korean MMORPGs. With Black Desert and Lost Ark, he believes players will soon be faced with a situation where they need to spend a lot of time just to make a little progress. In Aion 2, the increase in power feels more noticeable and happens more often.

This approach also has a drawback. Kanon believes that over time, some players may lose interest by replaying the same dungeons and instances. The raids are certainly challenging, but as the characters become more powerful, players will gradually outgrow them. Therefore, according to bloggers, the most difficult battles can only maintain a high level of challenge for a limited time.

Therefore, Kanon believes that “AION 2” is suitable for those who want to continuously strengthen their character and gradually turn him into a very powerful hero. Those who prefer to experience difficult content over a long period of time without quickly building strength may not like this development mode.
