There are just over six weeks left until version 1.0 of Enshrouded is released. Developers have already begun talking about changes coming to the game on October 15th, and currently their focus is on improving mechanics that players are already familiar with rather than adding new content.
In the new video, the team shows off just some of the major improvements to the existing system. A more complete list of changes will appear closer to release, along with a separate highlight reel and a final description of the update. The developers also confirmed that one of the main tasks before version 1.0 was performance optimization. After several years of adding new mechanics, details, and improved graphics, the team hopes to make the game more stable, both on mid-range and entry-level systems.
The developers jokingly point out that one particularly tough challenge is the ever-present dense bamboo forests in Enshrouded’s world. Meanwhile, the team continues to share behind-the-scenes footage from development – the new footage is only the second such material in the project’s entire history.
The next video will be released in a few weeks. Now, part of the team is attending Gamescom, where journalists can try out the upcoming changes and the PS5 version of Enshrouded for themselves. The full version of the game will be released on October 15th.
Will you be playing Enshrouded at launch?
