The cost of server RAM and solid-state drives in Russia rose by 25% to 150% in the first six months of 2026, with prices of some items tripling as global production capacity was reallocated to support artificial intelligence infrastructure.
In particular, DDR5 module prices have increased significantly, with their prices increasing by 100%, while production of the aging DDR4 generation is being phased out. Against this backdrop, demand for enterprise-class SSDs surged by 20%, surpassing high-speed HBM memory in popularity for the first time. The main reason for the shortage is that leading global manufacturers such as Micron and SK Hynix have switched to meeting large orders from IT giants.
Russian experts pointed out that processors are also becoming more and more expensive, and the domestic media market reached 160 billion rubles in the first half of the year. Enterprises are increasingly faced with rising infrastructure costs, forcing them to turn to leasing cloud capacity. Market participants said they do not expect the price of electronic components to fall next year.
