Bandai Namco Entertainment disclose Detailed information on the major update 2.0 for Soulslick’s action game “Code Devouring II”. The patch will be released with the paid expansion Mask of Idris on September 9, 2026, and will add end-game content available after completing the main storyline, as well as some additional features.
The main innovation will be the “Age of Reconciliation” event, which takes place after the “Miracle of Bonds” ending. The game will feature short episodes with different characters, and upon completion you can earn new blood codes. Players can choose their favorite partner and explore the world with them.
To enter the Age of Reconciliation, you need to save the ending “The Miracle of Connection.” If the player has already played through a second or subsequent playthrough, special options in Modern Magmel will allow you to skip necessary parts of the story and go directly to new content. Story events missed during this walkthrough cannot be reopened.
Jadwig will also be joining the cast of partners, having completed her own episode of “The Age of Reconciliation.” In combat, the character adopts an aggressive style and is able to wield a two-handed sword with one hand.
The update will also introduce “memory challenges” where players must fight against familiar bosses and enemies in succession. For victory, you can earn new customization parts based on enemies and bosses. In total, more than 90 such elements have been committed.
For those who want to focus on the story, a “Story Mode” will be added. Once enabled, the player character gains a boost, making combat and exploration easier. You can switch modes at any time in the settings menu.
This version will also add character shader switches. The “Original” option will retain the current appearance, while the “Legacy” option will give the hero a visual appearance close to the first part of Code Vein. Photo Mode will receive over 30 new poses, over 20 frames, and expanded options for customizing character positions. In addition, the game will return the jukebox, which contains songs from the “Code Eater”, “Code Eater II” and “God Eater” series.
Along with the free update, the paid expansion pack “Mask of Idris” will also be released on September 9. It will take players to the “Rejected World” and tell another story of how things have changed. To access this DLC, you need to reach the second ending, “The Age of Reconciliation,” and complete the quest “Discuss with Valentine: The Book of Magmel Island.”
