Sandbox Blossom: The Seed of Life adds 4-player co-op mode

The sci-fi sandbox “Blossom: Seed of Life” has received a major update, adding a four-player online cooperative mode. You can now invite up to three more friends into a player’s world to complete the entire campaign together, including story, exploration, and final sequences.

Co-op mode is not included in the separate mode. Players use a shared world to work together to develop bases, terraform Mars, extract resources, research technology, manage transportation and automate production. Still common are buildings and machines, power and water networks, research, recipes, objectives, database entries, terraforming progress, and plot.

Each participant’s personal elements are kept separately. Players can get their own backpacks, gear, mod sets, Steam achievements, and cosmetics. Items collected or crafted are sent directly to the person who performed the action. To visually differentiate your character, you can customize the four parts of the costume and choose colors from a palette of 18 options.

The developers also confirmed the compatibility of old saves. Files of version 1.4.1 can continue to be used in single-player mode, or can be opened for friends through the “Open Cooperation” item in the pause menu. No need to restart a built world. The archive belongs to the host, and the guest character’s data is stored in the host’s archive. If a visitor disconnects, their projects will be retained until the next time they connect. For Hardcore mode, the normal rules of permadeath apply: the death of any participant ends the pass for the entire team, and Save the World is permanently deleted.
