The Russian body-on-frame SUV UAZ “Patriot” has been in need of a redesign for a long time. It was officially unveiled this year and will be available in the future, but currently it already has an additional index in its name. Updated version of SUV will be called “Patriot X”.

At this stage, it’s not entirely clear what the manufacturer is trying to hide behind this symbol – the Latin “X”, the Roman numeral “ten” or the spacious Russian “Ha” – but in general, some kind of change to the name to make it easier to distinguish the redesign from the pre-redesign is certainly necessary.
The updated UAZ “Patriot” differs from the “Dorest” by full LED lighting, a number of ergonomic improvements and the ability to purchase a diesel engine version. In fact, the Patriot has always lacked torque, let alone power.
