Lenovo talks Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1 laptops powered by Nvidia RTX Spark

Lenovo has unveiled the full specs list for the Nvidia RTX Spark-powered 15-inch Yoga Pro 9n that was announced at Computex earlier this summer, and has unveiled a second Nvidia RTX Spark-powered system ahead of IFA, the 16-inch Yoga 9n 2-in-1 convertible.

Both systems are described as using Nvidia Grace Arm processors with up to 20 cores and Blackwell RTX graphics cards with 6,144 CUDA cores, suggesting that both systems will have multiple RTX Spark chip configurations to choose from. The Yoga Pro 9n 2-in-1 has a RAM capacity of up to 64 GB, and the Yoga Pro 9n has a RAM capacity of up to 128 GB. Also worth noting is that the Yoga Pro 9n 2-in-1 will be equipped with PCIe SSD Gen 4, with QLC flash memory capacity of up to 2TB. As for the Yoga Pro, the type of SSD memory was not specified, but the system will reportedly offer PCIe 4.0 drives with capacities from 512 GB to 1 TB in the first M.2 slot, and a PCIe 5.0 SSD with capacities up to 2 TB in the second M.2 slot. Both laptops support 2242 format NVMe drives.

The TDP of the 15-inch Yoga Pro 9n laptop will be as high as 80 W. This feature is not yet reported on the 16-inch Yoga 9n 2-in-1 model. Both laptops also feature a 9.2MP webcam that connects directly to the processor. The new product was announced to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Yoga Pro 9n comes with a 15.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 48 to 165 Hz, while the 2-in-1 model has a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 30 to 120 Hz. The peak brightness of both displays is 1100 cd/m22 In HDR mode. The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n model comes with a 92.5 Wh battery, while the Yoga 9n 2-in-1 model comes with a 99.9 Wh battery.

Both laptops feature a black metal body that combines reflective and matte materials. The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 brings back the articulated soundbar that the company abandoned years ago.

Lenovo positions the Yoga Pro 9n as a CUDA-enabled AI device powered by Nvidia processors, allowing it to “run complex AI models natively on the device.” The system has also been hailed as a device suitable for gaming, software development, video editing and rendering.

The Yoga 9n 2-in-1, on the other hand, is positioned more as a creative device thanks to its touch-sensitive design and support for Yoga Pen Gen 2. However, the company also mentions various artificial intelligence capabilities here. In particular, it talks about support for artificial intelligence tools in ComfyUI and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as the ability to natively run AI models such as LTX (physical space video rendering model) and FLUX (text-to-image translation model).

The company did not disclose the cost of the laptops it showed. It will be announced at launch, with an exact date yet to be determined. It was previously reported that the N1X processor (RTX Spark) will be released in October.
