Multiplayer first-person shooter Warface has launched its fall season and received a major content update. The developers have redesigned the weapon development system and player selection in ranked matches, added cooperation with Atomic Heart, updated the Overpass map, expanded the weapon arsenal, and introduced a new agent, John 47. The soundtrack for this season is the song “New Hero” by the band “Mirage”.
The main event in September will be co-content with Atomic Heart starting on September 9th. Players will find the single mission “Proton”, the themed event “The Bright Past” and an updated version of the KHRAZ Gauntlet. In the mission “Proton,” Ursula Ellis attempts to rescue Oberon White from virtual reality with the help of agents. Due to the malfunction, Oberon began to identify himself as Major Nechaev and independently changed the mission objectives. During the pass, players will visit Chelomei, the testing venue, and the finals arena. After completing the mission, you can earn five achievements, two of which are related to the Easter egg hunt.
The “Glorious Past” event will be held from September 9th to 30th. Its core mode is “Evacuation”, in which teams must capture strongholds, collect gold ingots from safes and defeated opponents, and then transport them to the desired location. Matches will be played on Atomgrad themed maps created in the Atomic Heart style, as well as Destination 2037 and Factory maps.
This event has a common goal for all players. For individual progress, you can earn Zhanba, and completing group tasks will bring unique stickers. The main reward is a Makarov pistol with “NA-T256” camouflage. The collaboration will also see the launch of an updated polymer glove, KHRAZ. New camouflages have been prepared for it for the Great Sword, Motion Sensor, and Molotov cocktails, each with its own animation.
Another notable change is the redesign of weapon progression. The developers removed details from the development system, sped up upgrades, and enhanced some models that were already at the base level. The updated interface has collected all necessary operations in one window.
These changes also affect player selection in ranked play. The system now analyzes more information about the participants and attempts to select opponents with similar skill scores and previous battle results. In this way, the developers hope to reduce the number of matches between novice players and more experienced opponents. The Overpass map returns in a redesigned form. It updates textures and objects, lighting, animations, and sounds, and also makes changes to balance and performance.
The arsenal has been replenished with two new models. The SMC Charlie P320 automatic pistol uses the SMC Charlie chassis body kit, which is lightweight, has a high rate of fire, and can be fired with two hands. The second new product is the Mexican FX-05 Xiuhcoatl assault rifle, which comes with dual magazines for faster reloading during firefights. Installing such a system itself requires more time. Seasonal rewards have also changed. New items will appear in the Battle Pass, PvE Seasons, and Ranked Matches.
On September 24, the new agent “John 47” will appear in “Warfront”. He is also known as “Agent 0” and “John Smith”. His origins are unknown, and information about the operations he carried out changes frequently in intelligence documents. The developer will also host two themed events in late fall. World 51 will be held in October and Aftermath will be held in November. Since August 26, the “Step Up” event has been taking place in the game. After logging in and completing simple tasks, players will receive gifts and rewards, including exclusive achievements.
